Many Christians believe that the Devil was once a handsome angel named Lucifer, who disobeyed God and fell from grace. Lucifer the Morningstar has grudgingly been ruling Hell for billions of years, earning himself incredibly frightening, infamous, and frightening as a manifestation of evil, as imagined by numerous cultures and religious traditions. He became known by a variety of names and titles, including The Devil, Satan, The Dark Lord, The Prince of Lies, The Temptation King, and Beelzebub.
Satan his name Changed From Lucifer Morningstar
Satan became corrupted, and his name changed from Lucifer (morning star) to Satan (adversary). Lucifer evidently became so impressed by his own beauty, intellect, power, and rank that he began to covet the honor and glory which belonged to the Lord. Christian tradition tells us that Lucifer became Satan following Lucifer's Fall, although even this link is pretty wonky. In both the Isaiah passage and the Ezekiel passage, the picture is not of Lucifer/Satan confined to his personal person, but his operation within, and execution of, his plans through Earthly kings and rulers who assume divine honors for themselves and who, whether or not they really know it, are ruling according to Satan's spirit and purposes.
If Ezekiel 28 contains the fall reference of Satan, the pattern of this passage would appear to match one of the Ezekiel 28 references -- namely, and the description is of the human ruler, then a double reference is made to both the human leader and to Satan. These statements can never be applied to the human king but are indeed applied to Lucifer/Satan, who was behind the human king. Using the quotes above, it is possible to assume Lucifer and Jesus are one entity. Taken in context, the quoted passage draws parallels between the downfall of Lucifer and that of a Babylonian King.
The force behind the wicked Babylonian king was Lucifer, son of the morning. In fact, the Book of Isaiah goes further than kings and goes all the way up to Lucifer. While Lucifer is the former Latin name for the planet Venus, associated with the fall of the morning star from Heaven, Gods opposite--the one who tempts believers into sin--was originally an angel of God, rebelled against God, and is also connected with humanity's first sin, committed in Eden.
